How much is a senior marketing VP salary? This is a huge question that I get asked all the time. I recently spent some time with my father and asked him this question and he said he’d give me an answer for it.
I could give you a salary range, but I can’t. I don’t know the exact salary for a senior marketing VP in the United States. In the rest of the United States, the average is about $80,000 per year. I have a friend who works at a large company that has a senior marketing VP that’s making $100,000 per year. The top companies I know make upwards of $250,000 per year.
Senior marketing managers make about 80% of the salary of a senior software engineer, which is a lot of money in this economy. So don’t be shocked if you hear some of these executives complaining about how hard it is to find a job. Not everyone has the same experience and education and you may get away with less than you think.
I don’t think anyone cares about this as much as they should. Senior marketing managers should make less than about 40k, not 100,000. They’re not making a living wage, and the fact that they’re making at least 40k in the US, instead of the usual 60-80k, isn’t going to show up in a search engine. So the fact that they’re making more than the average software engineer is going to be irrelevant to them in search engine results.
The reality is that senior managers make less than average software engineers. They make less money, generally, and their salaries are typically lower than what employees get in the market. So it is true that the average software engineer makes less, but it is not true that senior managers make more. And besides, senior level managers make less because they should make more. When a senior manager earns less than the market rate, that means that he or she should be earning more.
There is a direct correlation between an employee’s wage and the amount of work he or she does. For example, a software engineer can be paid a salary that is equal to the market salary for the position. If he or she does not do any work that is equal to that salary, either the manager or the employee should be doing more, not less. This is exactly what senior managers do.
The truth is that senior managers can earn more than the market rate, but only if they can find work that is equal to their current salary. And so in order to find such work, they can use the skills they have to their full potential.
It can be hard to find work that is equal to the market rate. Unless you are the senior manager of the company, chances are you will not. If you are, you should be looking for jobs that are equal to your current salary. If you are not, then you should be looking for work that is equal to the market rate.
Senior managers are paid market rate – meaning, they are paid what they are worth. They do not need to get a raise, but it sure would help if they were paid market rate.
Senior managers are paid market rate. So they are paid what they are worth.
