Marketing Internships are often times a part of your résumé. A lot of people are unaware that there are many kinds of Marketing Internships. If you have good communication skills and are interested in working in marketing, you can apply for many different types of internships.
While I’ve had internships that were advertised more as “marketing internships,” I’ve also had internships that were advertised more as “startup internships,” which is the correct term. A startup internship is a startup job that is usually paid with equity and typically lasts for two years.
Unlike a typical internship, where most companies pay you a salary and have some set hours of work, startups offer you equity with which you can work on whatever projects you choose. This is a great time to get involved with some startup company of your own.
We don’t have any startup internships here in NYC yet, but we are working on one. This is our first, so if you have any suggestions we’d love to hear them.
