It is important to remember that there are more than eight billion dollars in the world. So, how did we get to that number? Simple. If you were to look at the number of people on the planet, or if you were to compare them to the amount of items on our shelves, or the amount of things on our home’s shelves, your eyes would immediately start going from one number to another.
We can talk about the value of dollars, and how we’re all, collectively, worth a lot of money. We can talk about the value of our homes, or the value of our automobiles, or our food, or our clothes, or our jewelry, or our music, or our art. We can talk about the value of a relationship, or the value of a job or a career.
We can also talk about the amount of things we have, and their value.
We’re all about the same, but we can talk about the value of our homes.
We can talk about all these things, but if you ask me, a marketing plan is the most important marketing plan. I mean, what’s the most important thing to talk about when you’re talking about marketing? Just the number of people that have a job. We don’t need to talk about the value of all those people.
There are a lot of things you can talk about. You can talk about how much money you make, the amount you invest in your business, and the things you love to do. But if you want to talk about marketing, you need to talk about marketing. If you dont talk about marketing, you wont know where to start. So how about talking about marketing? If you have to start with marketing, I suggest talking about the value of your home.
When I was a kid, we had these giant signs up on the wall in school proclaiming, “Please do not touch my family.” The problem with this was that the kids that did touch us were often the ones who had the worst timing. The people who have a bad time with the least amount of effort are the ones who can’t make the most money.
So what’s the point of having giant signs declaring that you’re not allowed to touch (and thus hurting) your family if you aren’t allowed to make any money? And by the way, the people who actually read this will probably argue that the most important thing is for people to not be allowed to touch each other. I’m just saying that the point of marketing is to get people to read it.
This is a tough one to answer. There are so many factors to consider when making marketing decisions, but one thing that I do know is that the amount that a company spends on marketing is much more important than the size of their marketing budget. In fact, I would argue very little difference between a $50 million marketing budget and a $1 million marketing budget. It may be a very small difference, but it is a difference nonetheless.
The point of marketing is to get people to buy something, and that’s all it is. But the more money you spend on advertising, the more people will be exposed to it. The more important that you can make your marketing efforts, the more likely you are to be seen and heard by your customers.
