Digital marketing is a very misunderstood industry. I think both people who are in the industry and those who don’t know what it is often make the mistake of being too critical of the industry.

If your site is very small (less than 100 pages) then you are probably not going to rank on your own page. However, if you rank on your own page, it will likely lead to you getting more links on your own page, which should boost your ranking in search engines.
